Hiking

Embark on an enchanting voyage of discovery! You will find walks and hikes to suit all ages and abilities around Gesing Village: along the fields and tropical plantations, through tropical rain forest, between the crater lakes and even to the top of the mountains. Our tour guides are eager to show you around the nicest places and have many stories to tell.

Biking

We have three high quality mountain bikes for rent. The Polygon Siskiu 6 bikes are equipped with complete Shimano Deore groupsets and are maintained after every trip. Available sizes: S/M/L. Of course you can just rent a bike and go around by yourself. Central Munduk is 4 km away, the ascent is 160 m in altitude, it will take you 25 minutes to get there by bike if you go slow and relaxed. If you want to find the best trails, our guides can lead you to the hidden treasures.

Intercultural learning

Get in touch with local customs that have been passed on from one generation to the next and deepen your understanding of Balinese culture. We organize a Balinese traditional medicine class as well as a Balinese traditional cooking class. Depending on the season you may also join the Balinese traditional rice farming process! Finally, there are a few people in the ancient village of Gesing with a deep understanding of old culture and spirituality who like to share their knowledge. We would be more than happy to help those seeking to meet our neighbours, and provide you with translators, to enrich your holiday with something a little different.

Volunteering

If you would like to get in closer touch with the local community, we invite you to join social work activities as a volunteer. English speakers are welcome to support English classes at local schools. There is also a local volunteering program building houses for people in need.
